The Lucky Cowboy - biography

Who is that crazy cowboy?

Lucky was born at a very young age in the "Land of Lincoln."  Alton, Illinois, to be exact, is where old Lucky is from. Alton is famous for its celebrities of stage and screen. Remember Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in the world? How about TV star Clint Walker of "Cheyenne" and Butch Calvey the singer? Alton is also where one of the famous Lincoln/Douglas debates took place, and where Bluff City Beer was made. It seems Lucky was just destined to be a famous person.

In his early years, Lucky appeared at the Madison Avenue Corral in Alton as a live DJ for WOKZ radio. He's been a trapeze artist, a motorcycle stunt rider, and even hosted his own carnival. He was a National Indian Chief for the Boy Scouts of America and managed a scout camp. Lucky spent some time in Minnesota where he still has many country fans.

Nowadays, old Lucky is based in Nashville, TN, Music City USA. Here he founded Lucky Cowboy Productions. You might catch him anywhere in Nashville, or somewhere in the rest of the USA promoting country music. He's even been on the Today Show! But you'll always find him wearing his famous forty gallon orange cowboy hat - you can't miss him wherever he goes.

Lucky's favorite song is "I Feel Lucky." His handprints are on the WE Fest "Walk of Fame," and there's even a ceramic bobblehead doll of Lucky. Yep, you can bet old Lucky will continue to be a star in his own right.

Watch out for Lucky as you might just get "Lucky!" Yeeeeeeeeehaw!!! Let's Party Like A Cowboy! LUCKY COWBOY Since 1992

MEET MEGAN LINVILLE

MEGAN LINVILLE MY SPACE

MEGAN LINVILLE...Remember that name and face cause she's on her way to become a Superstar!

Some may say the "music gene" is a curse, but Megan Linville chose to view it as a blessing by following in the footsteps of generations of family performers and songwriters. Born and raised in the rolling hillside country, north of Nashville, Tennessee, Megan somehow knew that she would also take that same time-worn path that beckoned her to follow.

Her deep-rooted love of music can be traced back to her great, great, great, great grandfather (many "great grandfathers" ago), noted hymn composer Jonathon Edwards. Several generations of hymn writers, singers, performers, and probably a few snake oil sellers came and went. Great grandfather, Samuel Lewis McBee, was a Vaudeville performer, performing with the likes of Bing Crosby and Bob Hope and with his band, The Radio Serenaders, played the first live music aired on radio in Alabama. Megan's grandfather, Jerry McBee, was a noted Nashville singer/songwriter who wrote well over 700 songs for Nashville's country stars, including the late, great Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Arnold, Billy Walker and many others throughout several decades of his career.

Megan's first live performance was at the age of 7 in front of a "captive audience" of over 250 wedding attendees where she belted out the "Theme From Love Story" never missing a beat or even batting an eye. Throughout her school years she sang at every talent show, musical, play and county festival that she possibly could.

Megan began focusing on a career in country music while still in high school. After class, Megan would wind her way down to Music Row where she soon began making friends and acquiring a working knowledge of some of the "ins and outs" of the Nashville music industry. For her, the desire to succeed in this business was like pouring gasoline on a flame.

After high school, she began crafting her own style of songs writing with talented Nashville songwriters. Her growing catalog of songs identifies the sassy, up-tempo, female-empowering, fun, country style that she loves...(picture Jason Aldean in high heels and a short skirt!) Writer's nights and showcasing with a band at various venues around Music City and the mid-TN area quickly followed. While writing and continuing to hone her craft, she had the chance to sing extensively in the studio, took tons of vocal, performance and guitar lessons, never forgetting these old words of wisdom, " if you ever stop growing you must be dead."

Megan recorded her inaugural CD under the production of the multi-talented, Grammy award winning John Carter Cash in August of 2007. "The rush of recording at the famed Cash Cabin Studio and actually singing into the microphone that the Man in Black recorded on was a very powerful and humbling experience," said Megan.

Megan continues to dig deep into the business of the music industry by writing with many of Nashville's talented songwriters along with building an exciting, action-packed performance schedule "hop-scotching" from coast-to-coast with a band that is made up of a group of some of Nashville's finest musicians. Megan knows that each leg of this journey is exciting but it also requires tremendously long, pressure-filled hours of hard work, persistance and professionalism. However, "If the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise," Megan prays that you'll be hearing a lot more of her as the future unfolds.

Taylor Swift announces second leg of 'Fearless' tour in 2010
Including dates in US, Australia

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — Taylor Swift isn't ready for her fairy tale to end, so she's doing what any other savvy 19-year-old would do — continuing the story.

The country singer says a second leg of her "Fearless" tour will kick off in Australia in February. She'll also be playing nearly 30 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

"We had so much fun on the 'Fearless' tour the first time around that we decided that we had to keep going with it," she says. "So we will be relaunching the 'Fearless' tour in February in Australia, and then coming back and doing a bunch more cities in America."

The 2010 tour opens Feb. 4 in Brisbane. Swift will do five shows in Australia. She'll also be playing nearly 30 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Kellie Pickler and Gloriana will return as the opening acts.

All 52 concerts on the 2009 tour sold out in minutes, including New York's Madison Square Garden. Swift said she hopes the second go-round will be as successful.

"I always expected to have to do a lot of stressing out about selling tickets. And then I went on my first headlining tour, and everything just sold out," she said. "I've never expected that kind of success. I've never just felt entitled to my shows selling out or things like this happening to me, but the fact that they've happened to me has been wonderful."

She said her fans make her feel like she's "won the lottery of dreams coming true."

TAYLOR SWIFT'S NEW TOUR WILL USE HIGH-TECH

Country artists may sing about the simple life and sweet tea and getting back to basics and all things rural. But the truth is, they are just as high-tech and marketing savvy as their rock star brethren. In fact, at Wednesday's (Dec. 6) Consumer Electronics Association's trade show in Las Vegas, Taylor Swift was standing beside Sony CEO Howard Stringer to announce she'll be using the company's 3-D technology to document her 2010 tour. "I feel like my fans are all very cutting edge," she said. "So when it comes to technology, I'm very interested in what's the newest and the best. My tour starts up next month in Australia and Japan, and I'm very much looking forward to documenting all the behind-the-scenes and on-tour footage using 3-D." That doesn't mean Swift fans will be watching all this 3-D footage at home, though, because the new technology doesn't work with existing equipment. In fact, there's a possibility that she may just use the technology to record events for her personal use. At the moment, there are no plans for a 3-D documentary or video, but that can always change.
